Research description:

Received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico in 1974, the M. Sc. and the Ph. D. Degree from Purdue University in 1981 and 1984, respectively.He worked at the national electricity company in Mexico from 1977 to 1979. He is currently Professor of Electrical Engineering and Associate Dean of the Graduate School at the School of electrical and Mechanical Engineering of the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. He is a member of the Energy Systems committee of IASTED. His research interests include stochastic and intelligent analysis of power systems, intelligent control of power systems.
