Research description:
Dr. Tarek Bouktir was born in Ras El-Oued, Algeria
in 1971. He received the B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from Setif University
(Algeria) in 1994, his MSc
degree from Annaba University (Algeria)
in 1998, his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Batna
University (Algeria) in 2004. Currently he is
the head of “Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute” in Larbi Ben M’hidi
University, Oum El-Bouaghi,
Algeria. He
currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journals: Leonardo Electronic
Journal of Practices and Technologies, Leonardo Journal of Sciences, and WSEAS
Transactions on Power Systems. He is also the executive editor of the “Journal
of Electrical Systems”. He serves also as reviewer for IEEE Transactions on
Power Systems and for Journal of Computational Intelligence IJCIR. His areas of
interest are the application of the metaheuristics in Power Systems, FACTS
control and improvement in electric power systems, Multi-Objective Optimization
for power! systems and Voltage Stability and Security Analysis.
