Key Words:

Stability, Control Systems, Oscillations, FACTS

Research description:

Dr. Starrett's research interests are in the broad area of power system analysis and control. Recent projects include the utilzation of Normal Forms of wector fields for nonlinear oscillation analysis, using neural networks to predict system oscillations, modification and utilization of Power Oscillation Flows for siting FACTS devices, and application of a fuzzy logic system for VAR control.
